We converted a children’s playroom into a practical bedroom for a little girl.
We sought a fluid layout with custom carpentry studied so that the design would have longevity and the room could grow with the child.
The inspiration was based on the geometric wallpaper that she selected herself and that served as a common thread for the rest of the chromatic range of the room. We chose the furniture in neutral tones to give prominence to the textiles rich in textures and to the decoration of the room, with which we had a lot of fun, and which resulted in a very sweet and feminine style.
The design of the carpentry is designed to make the most of the space.
The backlit headboard becomes the focal point of the room, which also houses a closet with storage area for bedding and other accessories. The bed contains a nest for guests.
With the next stage in mind, a large work area was designed with a wall-mounted cork board and a multitude of drawers that extends into an adjoining closet, providing plenty of storage space for books and other objects.
